Banteay Chmar temple

Banteay Chhmar is one of Cambodia’s largest and most impressive Angkorian temple complexes, located in Banteay Meanchey, northwestern Cambodia. Built in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII, the temple reflects the grand Bayon architectural style.
The site is famous for its detailed bas-reliefs, peaceful atmosphere, and fewer crowds compared to the temples in Siem Reap. Surrounded by rural villages and natural scenery, Banteay Chhmar offers visitors an authentic cultural experience and a chance to explore one of Cambodia’s hidden historical treasures.
