Day 2 – Sunrise + Ta Prohm Temple Today you will get up early in the morning from your hotel at 5:00 a.m. to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat temple. After sunrise, you will find a suitable area for breakfast near the next destination and then continue to explore Ta Prohm temple (the temple featured in the Tomb Raider film) before the crowds arrive. Next, you will visit the unique red sandstone temple called Banteay Srei (the Lady’s Temple, about 37 km from Siem Reap), and then continue to explore Beng Mealea (the jungle temple, which is 100% unrestored). You will break for lunch at a local restaurant in that area. After lunch, you will visit the Roluos Group and Bakong (the first largest sandstone temple of Khmer architecture) and then head to Tonle Sap Lake and the Kompong Phluk floating village. Note: Some temples—such as Angkor Wat, Baphuon inside Angkor Thom, and Phnom Bakheng—require proper attire for climbing to the top. Your clothing must not be too short: pants or skirts should cover your knees, and shirts must not be sleeveless (they must cover your shoulders). Otherwise, you will not be allowed to climb by the Temple Authority. If your camera runs out of battery, bring a charger with you—you can recharge it during your lunch break at the restaurant. U.S. dollars are accepted everywhere, and most prices are set in USD. Some places may not accept money that is too old or torn. To ensure your satisfaction with the tour services, payment of the tour fees will be required only at the end of the tour, after completion (no advance payment or deposit is required), and payment must be made in cash in U.S. dollars only.
